"The first writing course I ever signed up for was with The Writers Bureau. I wasn’t able to finish the course due to work commitments, but the encouragement I received from my tutors on the course stayed with me and gave me the confidence to begin a career in writing years later.
"I currently have five books on Amazon: Babe Driven, Love’s Child, Finding Gina, Ninja School Mum and If You Love Me, I’m Yours. The two most recent novels have been published by Crooked Cat Books this year. I’ve received lovely reviews for my books and have a loyal readership.
"Before I began writing, I appeared on Sky News, ITV Lunchtime News, This Morning, The Big Breakfast, Open House with Gloria Hunniford and the BBC's World Service, as well as many local radio stations, thanks to becoming one of Fair Play London's female innovators for my invention, Runaway Spray, a spray which stops ladders in stocking and tights. My move into writing has been a lifelong dream.
"I am active on Social Media, with 61K followers on Twitter. I run a networking hour that regularly trends on Twitter called #CreativeBizHour and have an author blog and run a Facebook group for writers and creatives. I live in Essex, with my husband and two children.
"In between the school run and chasing around after my family, I sit in my rooftop studio, daydreaming about new characters and how to make my readers smile."

"I have seen my writing journey as an adventure: What can I write? What am I best at? What new aspects of writing can I discover and contribute towards? I have welcomed the wide range of modules covering different types of writing, challenging me to try new aspects in style and content, pushing me gently outside my comfort zone with encouragement. "I signed up for the course in December 2020 as a Christmas present to myself and I started the first module in January 2021. I have had eight pieces published: three paid earning £1080 and a star letter where I won a £250 hotel voucher." Annemarie Munro - Writers Bureau Student of the Year 2022 |
