Hello All,
Comedy is such an underrated form of creative writing, but can be so great when it works. Most people shy away from it because they think it’s too difficult, which is a shame, because writing comedy gold could catapult your name into households for years to come – think Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses and Mrs Brown’s Boys.
So, if you fancy having a go at comedy writing, here are three websites we think you’ll find really useful:
How to Break into Comedy Writing
First up is a collection of short pieces of advice from some of the great comedy writers out there.
This is a great site! It features interviews with comedy writers and actors, news, a comedy guide and forums.
And don’t forget videos. Here’s one to get you going, it’s by Jerry Corley the ‘25-year veteran stand up comedian and writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.’
Remember, if you run a website that you think may be of use to our readers, let us know. If we like it, we’ll publish a link to it giving you a free plug. What could be better than that?
