How Long Should You Wait?

This week we’ll discuss how long you should wait once you’ve sent your writing in for publication before contacting the editor again. This seems to be something that troubles newbie writers as, in the world outside of publishing, it would be wholly unacceptable to wait two or three months to receive a response to an enquiry. However, the world of publishing runs on a different clock to the rest of us. So, don’t be surprised if you send things to publishers and don’t hear anything for a long, long time.
