Achieving success as a writer isn't always easy. That's why we celebrate the achievements of our students with an annual Award.

The 'Writer of the Year Award' is open to all students of The Writers Bureau and will be given to the student who, we feel, has developed the most as a writer. Your success won't be judged merely on the financial gains you have made – we want to hear about any publishing success you have had. This might include breakthroughs into new markets, the most unusual payment received for your writing, success with a genre you thought you wouldn't want to try or anything else you feel is relevant.

To qualify for entry you need to be a student of The Writers Bureau and to have been published in the past year. The winner will receive a £250 cash prize and there are four runners-up awards of £50 each. The winners will be published on our website and in our promotional material.

The Award will be judged in January of each year. So, if you would like to put yourself forward to be considered as Writer of the Year 2009 then your application must be received by 31st December 2008.

We hope you will take part in this Award and we now look forward to reading about your writing achievements.
