Reader's letters

Adrian C - November 15, 2010 writes:

I'm stuck on assignment 4 which requires me to write readers letters to 3 magazines. Any ideas which magazines pay for letters? Being a man I'm not too keen writing to any women's magazines. Any ideas?

If you have a hobby, pastime or liesure pursuit? There are magazines and other publications that cover all of the above. If you don't have a copy of 'The writers handbook' you can look them up on the web. Going by what some students have said on the forum, some publications tell you if they accept articles from freelance writers. If you are passionate about your hobby etc, then writing about it would surely be a bonus, because you would be writing about a subject you are familiar with.

Hope this helps.

If you type in the address bar "which magazine pays for readers' letters" you will be amazed at what comes up. Take That, Bella and several others pay.

Warning! I just googled readers letters and was rewarded with a list of 'specialist' sites! Take care when looking for markets.....
