Published letters

Debra K - August 3, 2010 writes:

I know this may not be very relevant but I was looking through my emails last night and I discovered this woman from Bella magazine had sent me an email to say my letter had been chosen to be published in the mag next week, 10th of august. I was thrilled to bits, this is the second time Bella magazine have published my letters so I am really pleased with myself. Just a minor and unimportant thin to shout about I suppose.

Debra, that news is not uimportant at all. It's great news. Well done. I have sent a letter to Chat mag back in May and have not heard anything. Can you give me a timescale, please, on how long after you submitted your letters you received a reply to say they would be published. Many thanks.

Hi Debra, mine is on the same page!!well done!2nd time they have printed mine too. JF if your letter is going to be published it will be in usually 2 weeks later, they dont always reply some just print it, so if you write off to a mag, keep an eye out for your letter. good luck-mandy

I think I received a reply last time but I know I got a reply 2nd time because in forgot to put my name and address in the email. It aint the star letter but I got my cheque of £10 and in less than 4 weeks too! Still, for me the achievement far outweighs the money anytime.

Well done Debra. I've just received notification today that a tip I sent in will be published in Amateur Gardening. They have sent me £10 gardening vouchers and I'm so pleased! The kids think it's hilarious but it's given me such a boost! Not bad payment though for twenty words!
