How do people get paid over the internet?

Are there various methods or is it always paypal? Also how does publishers pay for your work if you're not from their country? I would really appreciate it if some regularly or even newly published writers would spare time to share their insights on these two questions.

It's usually Paypal or Worldpay (similar) I think.
