HI. ANYONE FROM READING?

Josh Paul L - August 15, 2010 writes:

Hi everyone. Hope you are all fine as you are writing your ways to this great and fantastic career.
I would like to know if there is any student from SE, especially around Reading Town. It is where I live, and would be nice to hear from a closer neighbour.
Please give me a shout if you are.
Thank you.

I'm just around the corner in Crowthorne if it helps. Which course are you studying?

Josh Paul L - August 22, 2010 replied:

Hi. Nice to hear from Crowthorne, it is still within the right radius. I'm studying Comprehensive Creative Writing. What about you? Are you a writer? How much have you achieved so far...I haven't much. Well if you are a writer, have you met any published writer? As they say it is a good thing for growing writers. The course you are studying - is it a means of changing career, or you are just cultivating withing the known? Thanks.

Kelly D - August 23, 2010 replied:

I'm fairly new to the course, studying the Fiction writing. I'd love to call myself a writer but at the minute works doing its best to get in the way. Though I'm hoping to be able to use it as a means to change career, or in the very least progress a little further in my current one. How about you?

Josh Paul L - August 23, 2010 replied:

Well well well, fairly new here too. I've submitted one assignment so far. The 2nd is underway.

Writing is my only one career that I am about to hold on to so tight...the fact is I have had the uncareered jobs for the tummy's and roof's sake. So what I am saying here is, I am not really changing career but redefining it clearer.

In the past have written - not to be published - but for the job and academia. When they complimented on my writings I thought it is simply because I did a good research and perhaps spent enough time putting things together. But then, I haven't avoided reading and analyzing other people's writing on to find out thats is the writer's mind.

So here I am with WB; how far will I go? How much will I achieve? Yes, I wanna take it seriously and hence, professionally, but is that the guarantee to shine and pave my way to the world? We are yet to find out.

So Kelly, how did you know you are a writer?
