When do you write?

Rachel B - January 12, 2012 writes:

Hello Everyone.

I am a newbie! Just having a look through Modules 1-3 of the Creative Writing course and I'm very excited to get started! The modules suggest setting your own study and writing schedule within your lifestyle and I was wondering when all my fellow students find is their best time to write! What parts of the day do you find the free time to sit down to write? What parts of your day stimulate or inspire you to write about them? Id love to hear from you!

Rachel.

Hi Rachel!

I prefer being outside where I can feel the wind on my face and hear the sounds of "life". I often find that my room starts growing walls ;-)

The early morning, and the time just before the sun goes down, has always held a kind of magic for me. Like module 2 quotes the American Novelist Peter De Vries " I write when I'm inspired - at nine o'clock every morning!" Write all the time. Though i find that Inspiration makes my pen flow easier :D but don't wait for inspiration, to quote Nike's Slogan " Just Do It!" :)

Hi Rachel, I think you should be able to write when ever and where ever, that what makes a good writer. It is mentioned somewhere in the modules that you shouldn't restrict yourself to a certain time and place. Kodour
