Looking for inspiration in some back copies of E-Zee Writer, I came across a great article by Esther Newton called ‘Plan B.’ It’s all about what to do if your dream of becoming the next Ian Fleming or Toni Morrison doesn’t pan out. It’s a funny old world, isn’t it? Sometimes you think your career is going to go one way and then you find yourself heading off in another direction completely. That’s where I found myself a couple of weeks ago when an opportunity came up that was too good to miss. You see, I’m now in pastures new! After 10 years at The Writers Bureau, I’ve moved to a new position in a totally different sector – law. Who’d have thought it? Honestly, if you’d asked me a few weeks ago if I would consider working for a large firm of corporate solicitors, I would have probably said no. But, after reading about what they required for their Content Executive role (yes, that’s my fancy new title!) and meeting with the Marketing Manager, I decided I’d really quite like the new challenge.
