Tips For Entering The Award

  1. Keep to the word length stated. Your entry will be automatically disqualified if your article is not between 700 and 1400 words.

  2. Stick to the subject stated.

  3. Apart from these two points you have total freedom on how you approach this project. You can write it in any style: humorous, factual, true-life story, serious, sad, as an interview ...

  4. Be creative. Remember, you are crafting an article for publication. The quality of the writing and how the article flows is an important part of the selection process – so always keep this in mind.

  5. You can write in either the first or third person.

  6. But most important of all, enjoy writing about yourself and your achievements. You don't often get the chance to reflect on how far your writing has come and shout about your success from the roof tops.

Good Luck With Your Entry!
